Q. If I use a book within the library do I have to borrow it?
If I want to use a book within the library itself do I have to pass it through the self-checkout machines?? Sorry, it might be a really silly question but I haven't done it before and I am also unsure how to locate staff easily. Again sorry for asking such questions.
Items in the Reading Room need to be issued to your account before being used elsewhere in the building. There are security barriers at the doors which will sound an alarm if you try to take un-issued books from the Reading Room. Books from the tower floors (2-7) can be used in anywhere in the building without being borrowed. However, all items must be issued to your account before you leave the library.
