Staff:

Canvas is integrated with the Academic Information System (AIS). In order to see sites in Canvas your name must be assigned against courses which you are teaching on in AIS. Often there is a departmental administrator who has access to AIS and can update your details. You will need to find out how this is organised in your department to arrange access. Once this has been done you should be able to see the relevant sites in Canvas within a 2 hour period. Alternatively you can contact student administration services who may be able to help you to facilitate this process.

Students:

Once you have formally registered with the university your details will be updated on the Academic Information System (AIS) which is linked with Canvas. Course tutors are responsible for publishing Canvas sites and once this has been done you should be able to access the relevant site(s) in Canvas.

If it is a semester 2 site which you are unable to see in Canvas then it is likely that this will not be made available by the course tutor until nearer the start date of the course.
