Q. I want to renew my book but when I check it in My Account it shows 'hold'

It there is a hold (reservation) on the book unfortunately you will not be able to renew the item. You will incur fines if you do not return the book by its due date. When you return the item you could request a hold be made for when the item becomes available again.
